Another important client of our company is DRÄXLMAIER factory from Satu Mare. On the Romanian market, DRÄXLMAIER Group has been present since 1993, being one of the largest employers in the country. At present, the group is present in five cities in Romania – Satu Mare, Pitesti, Timisoara, Hunedoara and Brasov.

The production unit from Satu Mare is the only factory in Romania of the group that produces high voltage wiring. This is the largest location among the five in Romania, and the basic activity is the production of electrical systems. The first electrical modules were produced in Satu Mare in 1999, and since then the unit has steadily developed contributing to the economic and social development of the city, as well as of the region.

Along with the electric motor, the high voltage battery is the central element of partially or fully electrified cars and a highly sophisticated component that requires specialized skills to be produced. To consolidate the foundations of high-tech assembly, BMW Group Manufacturing and DRÄXLMAIER Group have been involved in intensive cooperation to bring this advanced competence to Romania. In partnership with BMW, one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers and a strong partner for the BMW Group since 1966, DRÄXLMAIER has now set the solid foundations for other advanced programs stating in 2018.
